We will provide daily cultural and spiritual information regarding the local area and engage in morning  meditation at the camp and at holy spots. Camping/ Tea house trek with spectacular mountain views, through the little-travelled Mahabharata Hills inhabited by the indigenous Tamang people whose religion is a fusion of Buddhist Lamaism and the Shamanist Bon culture; it is not uncommon for a village to have both a Lama and a Jhankri (Shaman). Visiting villages and monasteries there is plenty of time to meet the local people and learn about their culture. Under the shadow of Gauri Shanka we visit two monasteries which leads to the Sailung sacred hill with a panoramic Himalayan vista including a view of Everest. The famous Buddhist necklace beads come from trees that grow only in this area and Buddhists come from Tibet to purchase them for their prayer necklaces.
